Rites of passages (ROPES) are rituals that facilitate transitions from one stage of life to another within a community. (Genesis 18:19, 1 Chronicles 17:11, Malachi 2:15).

Here at Parkie, ROPES is a program runs for ONE YEAR ending in an experiential camp, with SEPARATE CAMP VENUES for BOYS and GIRLS. This is usually done in their last year of primary school.

The program requires BOTH PARENTS and their TEENS to be fully COMMITTED and INVOLVED.

  • to affirm identity and sense of belonging
  • to teach life skills and adaptive skills
  • to instill values and reinforce worldview
  • to define roles and responsibilities as well as rights and privileges
