Past Wachira was raised up a catholic and served as an altar boy and later as the chairman of Nyeri catholic youth. In pursuit of salvation, he came to Parklands Baptist church in 1987 while in college and received the Lord as savior in 1992. He was ordained a deacon in 1997 and served as church plant pastor at Membley Baptist church from 2002 for 7 years. He was ordained to pastoral ministry in 2006.
He has served in various ministries and discipled believers who are now serving the body of Christ in various capacities and locations especially in prayer, discipleship and missions. He has Planted Membley Baptist church, Eastgate Baptist church and now planting Northgate Baptist in Ruaka among others.
He is currently serving as the Lead Pastor PBC Northgate Church.
