- Ministry Foundation: Ministry is about service. The Lord Jesus said to His disciples who were jostling for positions in the Kingdom “For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many.” [Mark 10:45]
- Ministry Opportunities: The MID (Ministry Identification Department) gives members the opportunities of discovering their gifts, developing them, and plugging them into the various ministries within the church. We must serve God and one another for the church to grow and to be effective [I Corinthians 12].
- Ministry Mandate: The Apostle Paul reminded the Colossians the mandate of service when he wrote “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” [Colossians 3:23-24]
- Ministry Methods: Service is at many levels and here at the PBC campuses one can serve as the Lord has equipped them in gifts and talents. We have those who teach, give, show mercy, prophecy, preach, help, advice, lead, work of staff, volunteer at various levels, intercede, usher, take care of the children, and the list goes on. Come and serve according to the grace God has given to you. [Romans 12:3-6]
- Ministry Rewards: God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. God sees the heart and the motives of service and rewards accordingly. Welcome to serve with us. [Hebrews 11:6]is sharing the riches of God with others.
- Our expected end result as a department is STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT where we support the church in a broad base for service and develop core leadership for ministry
- Through our vision, mission, core values and strategic plan the potential of our congregation is to be identified, equipped and commissioned.
- As leaders influence the congregation we are to end up being the SALT and the LIGHT in the church but more so in the market place.
