Members Testimonials for Pen Adventures

I am blessed to be part of the Pen Adventures Group in Parklands Baptist Church. I first heard about this group through Faith Makau, one of the founding members, and when I attended the first meeting, I knew I was in the right place. My writing skills have definitely improved and thanks to Pen Adventures I am a published author. My sincerest gratitude to the co-ordinating teams and to Pastors Ambrose and Simon for allowing us to express our creativity through writing.
Josephine Kiruku (Writer and Photography Enthusiast)

I joined Pen Adventures around 2019 and I must say I was blown away by the opportunity readily given to share my writing and the camaraderie in the group. The vision to have African stories told by Africans also drew me in. I have grown in my writing and I can’t wait to see what the LORD has in store for us going forward!
Linda Muthoni Muthuri (Writer)

When I joined Pen Adventures in 2017, I was eager to hone my editing skills in this new venture. Three years later I can say it is truly one of the best experiences I have had. I have worked with several different authors in a mutually beneficial relationship, and I have grown as an editor. (For instance, I was exposed to poems and that was a genre I would never have
considered looking at.) I feel blessed to have been part of Pastor Simon’s exciting vision, and think that his and Pastor Ambrose’s support has been amazing. I can hardly still believe that a church could be such a pioneer in something as unique and creative as writing. I was delighted to have contributed to getting 19 authors published, many of them for the first time. Can you imagine we published the anthology Unfurling in 2020—the Covid year?! What a miracle…
