The general purpose and mandate of Parklands Baptist Church is to continue the ministry that Christ began on earth of preaching the gospel, teaching and healing.

OUR VISION
“The gospel of the Kingdom of God and its principles proclaimed to every person, godly leaders raised and our communities and the world influenced positively and applying these principles as a way of life”.

OUR MISSION
“Our mission is to make disciples of all nations: to baptize them to membership in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; to raise them to maturity through discipleship and teaching according to the Great Commission of Christ and prepare them for effective ministry to others.”

OUR MOTTO
Arise and shine for your light has come and glory of the Lord is risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1

God is good all the time and all the time God is good and that is his nature.

OUR CORE VALUES
1. Christ-Centeredness
‘He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy’. Colossians 1:17-18.
2. Nurturing Believers
‘We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ’. Colossians 1:28.
3. Service to Members and Community
‘For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many’. Mark 10:45.
4. Worship and Prayer Centered on God
‘Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth’. John 4:23-24.
5. Responsible Stewardship
‘Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more’. Matthew 25:14-16.
6. Culture of Excellence
‘Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth’. 2 Timothy 2:15.
7. Teamwork
‘The LORD said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them”. Gen 11:6.
8. Accountability and Transparency
‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving’. Col 3:23-24.
9. Inclusivity and Respect for Diversity in Christ
‘There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus’. Galatians 3:28.
10. Respect and Regard for Family
‘He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly’. Acts 10:2
11. Regard for Youth and Children.
‘Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it’. Proverbs 22:6.

‘Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity’.         1 Timothy 4:12.
