We are a people of destiny and this is our time to experience the favour of the Lord. God has revelaed that this year, as we celebrate His goodness in the year of Jubilee, it is THE YEAR OF THE LORD'S EXTRAORDINARY DIMENSIONS!

Welcome to this New Year as we celebrate Jubilee as a country. God has been good to us and we give Him all the glory. Indeed, we do not want to take His faithfulness for granted. We bless Him and thank Him for watching over us as a country and also as God's people who are His representatives here on earth.

We also thank Him for the word that He has given us to guide us every time. We cannot improve on His word. His word was not given to us to just inform us. Knowledge puffs us. God has given us his word that we may be INFORMED, FORMED, and then TRANSFORMED. It is my prayer that this is what we shall experience this year.

We thank God for His word last year and how it really revolutionized our lives. This year God wants to take us to the next level. As we BEHOLD THE GLORY OF GOD we shall be transformed from one degree of glory to another [II Cor. 3:18]. As we LOVE one another, we shall prove to the world that we are Christ's disciples [John 13:34-35]. As we REACH OUT to the world with the gospel of the Kingdom, we shall draw men and women whom Christ died for and rose again from the dead [Matt. 28:18-20]. We shall then usher in the return of Christ and the end will come [Matt. 24:14].

We are looking forward to an amazing year. As we face elections as a country, we must pray and believe God for His leadership in all that we say and do. We must remember that it is God who raises leaders to rule over us. Of King David the word says [Psa. 78:70-72 NKJV empasis added]:

"He also CHOSE David His servant, and took him from the sheepfolds. He brought him, to shepherd Jacob His people, and Israel His inheritance. So he [David] SHEPHERDED them according to the INTEGRITY of his heart, and GUIDED them by the SKILLFULNESS of his hands."

God is with us and He has a destiny for this land. He also has work for us to fulfil as a church. We must heed the word for us this year that we may do what Daniel and His friends did in their time. Daniel was to testify that 'the people who KNOW their God, shall BE STRONG and carry out GREAT EXPLOITS' [Dan. 11:32b NKJV].

Arise and shine, for your light has come and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. Amen!
